日本カナダ商工会議所は、その使命として、日系企業とカナダ企業のビジネス関係を促進・発展させること、
そして、日系社会における事業活動を、その規模の大小を問わず、奨励していくことを掲げています。
また、日系企業がカナダで事業を営む以上、政府の経済政策やその方向性を見極めることが大切ですが、
それらを理解するためには、地元の様々な団体が主催する講演会や催しに積極的な参加することが必要です。
その機会を提供することも、当商工会議所の重要な役目だと考えています。
そのような目的の実現に向けて、理事を始め会員の皆様が、これまで多大な努力をされ、
今日の日本カナダ商工会議所を築き上げられてきました。今回、私がそれを踏襲する形で、会長の役を
務めさせて頂くことになったのは、幸運なことだと考えています。また、熱心な理事の方々と一緒に
仕事ができることも嬉しく思っています。会員の皆様が、 当商工会議所のメンバーである特権を
最大限活用し、できるだけ多くの行事に参加されることを願っています。
また、新たにメンバーに加わって頂ける方を大いに歓迎したいと思います。
当商工会議所の発展を享受できる仲間が一人でも増えることを期待しています。

The Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce's mission is to facilitate and promote
business relations between Japanese and Canadian companies, and to encourage
the activities of entrepreneurs, large and small, within the
Japanese-Canadian community. The Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce believes
it is important that Japanese companies operating in Canada participate in
local events through local business groups in order to learn about
government policies and plans for the future. I am fortunate to have the
opportunity to build upon the years of hard work put in by the members,
directors and past executive officers who set about seeing that these
objectives were realized. I am delighted to be working with a strong,
dedicated group of Board of Directors. On behalf of the Board of Directors,
I encourage all Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce members to participate in
the many activities available to them through their membership in the
organization. We also welcome new members to come and join us in what
promises to be an exciting year of Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce
activities.
